I have several variations on my headcanon, so I kind of flip flop back and forth between what I want to do but Indira Varma is definitely a favorite for Rowena. It works, Asians usually came to Britain by way of trade so she would be of status anyway
actually it’s decided. rowena definitely came out of southern asia in my mind (maybe/probably changed her name). she was very kind but less reserved than helga hufflepuff in the use of her power to come out on top, but only in situations that logic dictated (she never harmed the innocent). she actually came to england to study ancient wandlore and basically revolutionized the artform. all modern wands are crafted under methods she discovered.
